At Withington Physiotherapy, our patient and friendly staff will make sure you feel comfortable and well-informed every step of the way. Our mission is to provide the highest level of healthcare to the Greater Manchester and Cheshire area.  All our physiotherapists are HCPC registered and members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.

TERESA BARRETT

Physiotherapist

Teresa qualified in 2003 with a BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Liverpool.  She also holds an Msc in Trauma and Orthopaedics from the University of Salford (2013).
Teresa is experienced in treating all musculoskeletal conditions including spinal pain, whiplash and sports injuries.  She practices acupuncture and is a member of the AACP for treating a variety of pain related musculoskeletal conditions.  She has a special interest in treating spinal conditions, jaw/ tempromandibular joint (TMJ) problems and vestibular dizziness such as Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), vestibular neuritis and cervical dizziness. Teresa is qualified in APPI Pilates with experience in treating classes and 1:1 training sessions.  Teresa has extensive experience in treating performers, particularly musicians and is BAPAM registered. When Teresa is not working she is a keen cyclist, runner and mother to 2 young energetic boys.
Teresa works across the two sites of Oak Road and Withington Baths.

HELEN GILL

Physiotherapist

Helen qualified with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University and also holds a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage (VTCT). Helen has a keen interest in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy, exercise therapy and sports massage/manual therapy. Helen started her sporting career in gymnastics and trampolining and dancing, competing for the north of England at a young age. Helen has provided first aid, sports massage and physiotherapy advice at a number of sporting and charity events such as the Tour of Tameside, Soccer aid in 2017 and BBC Sport Relief 2017 & 2018. Helen enjoys fitness and weight training, holidays and day trips with friends

NATHAN MAY

Physiotherapist

Nathan is an experienced physiotherapist gained through both NHS and private sector since qualifying. He has experience with sports injuries, musculoskeletal injuries, paediatric and neurological disorders. After attending Sale Grammar School he got a first class honours degree at Nottingham University. In his spare time he is a self taught guitarist for the past 15 years, plays for two 7-aside football teams and has completed over £2000 for charity through Triathlons.

CHIMI CHUKWUDIRE

Physiotherapist

An enthusiastic physiotherapist with experience working in professional, semi-professional and amateur
sporting environments, along with working within both adult and paediatric populations. As a clinician, he is passionate about helping people to maximize their functional potential while ensuring safety and dignity throughout. Additionally, he has a key interest in helping individuals regain their strength and mobility to allow them to achieve their desired goals. Chimi also works at Sale FC Rugby Club and Manchester Magic and Mystics Basketball, with previous experience with Sale Sharks Academy, England Basketball North Region (England Basketball), Sunderland AFC and England Touch Rugby.
