At Withington Physiotherapy, our patient and friendly staff will make sure you feel comfortable and well-informed every step of the way. Our mission is to provide the highest level of healthcare to the Greater Manchester and Cheshire area.  All our physiotherapists are HCPC registered and members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.




Teresa qualified in 2003 with a BSc (hons) in Physiotherapy from the University of Liverpool.  She also holds an Msc in Trauma and Orthopaedics from the University of Salford (2013).
Teresa has been working in private practice for 10 years alongside NHS experience for over 14 years.  She is experienced in treating all musculoskeletal conditions including spinal pain, whiplash and sports injuries.  She practices acupuncture and is a member of the AACP for treating a variety of pain related musculoskeletal conditions.  She has a special interest in treating spinal conditions, jaw/ tempromandibular joint (TMJ) problems and vestibular dizziness such as Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV), vestibular neuritis and cervical dizziness. Teresa is qualified in APPI Pilates with experience in treating classes and 1:1 training sessions.  Teresa has extensive experience in treating performers, particularly musicians and is BAPAM registered. When Teresa is not working she is a keen cyclist, runner and mother to 2 young energetic boys

Richard has a BSc (HONS) Physiotherapy and is from a triathlon background,  competing for Team GB at age group level. He still has a very keen interest in this sport but mainly concentrates on running and plans to complete the Manchester marathon yearly. He also has a keen interest in Rugby and has previous experience providing physiotherapy for Didsbury Toc H Rugby club. Richard has experience in treating professional dancers, strong men, amateur tennis players, rugby players, swimmers and youth gymnasts. He also provides 1:1 clinical Yoga. Richard is our specialist men's health physiotherapist.  Treatment involves establishing a management plan to help you return to normal function or optimally manage your symptoms. This can include (but is not limited to) education, life style management, pelvic floor rehabilitation and exercise rehabilitation.




Alongside working at Withington Physiotherapy Rachel is working for the English Institute of Sport as a Multi-Sport Physiotherapist & with British Swimming. She has also worked for the previous two years with British Cycling, with the BMX Freestyle & Super Cross Teams. Rachel has also worked for England Netball, supporting the U21 team towards their bronze medal victory at the Youth World Cup. Rachel was also been part of the Physiotherapy team with GB Taekwondo leading into Rio Olympic Games. Rachel has toured with Westside Story as a Physiotherapist to the dancers and musicians. She is a keen climber and cyclist, with a background in gymnastics. Rachel completed her Masters in Sports Injury & Rehabilitation in 2018, focussing on running related injuries. She has a specialist interest in shoulders and has worked closely with many of the specialised upper limb consultants.

Helen qualified with a BSc(Hons) in Physiotherapy from Manchester Metropolitan University and also holds a Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage (VTCT). Helen has a keen interest in Musculoskeletal physiotherapy, exercise therapy and sports massage/manual therapy. Helen started her sporting career in gymnastics and trampolining and dancing, competing for the north of England at a young age. Helen has provided first aid, sports massage and physiotherapy advice at a number of sporting and charity events such as the Tour of Tameside, Soccer aid in 2017 and BBC Sport Relief 2017 & 2018. Helen enjoys fitness and weight training, holidays and day trips with friends

Sports Massage Therapist

Chris Is a fully qualified in Sports Massage, Swedish Massage, Lymphatic Drainage and Dry Cupping.




Lucy is originally from Dublin, Ireland and came to Manchester to study Physiotherapy and has never left. She has excellent musculoskeletal skills from both NHS and Private work. She has a specialist interest in Gaelic football injuries, and she still plays Gaelic Football in Didsbury.
